🍯 Toasted Sesame Honey Simple Syrup

Ingredients

You will need:

  • 1 cup raw local honey
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 3 tsp white or tuxedo sesame seeds
  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Toast sesame seeds in a dry skillet over medium heat for 2–3 minutes until fragrant
  2. Remove immediately to prevent burning and let cool slightly
  3. Combine honey and hot water in a jar and stir until fully smooth
  4. Add toasted sesame seeds and a pinch of salt
  5. Cover and steep at room temperature for 2–4 hours
  6. Strain through a fine mesh strainer
  7. Refrigerate (keeps up to 2 weeks)
